Terms of service
The agreement between RepairBy and a repair shop using it, and the terms on which anyone else uses these sites.

In short
- RepairBy is software. The repair itself is an agreement between you and the shop, not with us.
- A shop starts free, with 20 jobs a month. PRO is ₹499 a month or ₹4999 a year.
- A failed payment gets 7 days of full service before new bookings stop. Repairs already in progress are never cut off.
- A shop can export its data and close its account from inside the app, without asking us.

What this is
RepairBy gives a local repair shop a website, a booking app and the tools to run pickups, quotes, repairs and deliveries. Each shop runs its own site on its own address.
We do not repair anything. When you book, your agreement is with the shop whose name is on the site: they quote the price, they hold your device, they give the warranty and they issue the invoice. A dispute about a repair is between you and them.
Accounts and signing in
Signing in is by mobile number and a one-time code. There is no password to lose, which also means anyone who can receive your SMS or WhatsApp messages can sign in as you. Keep your number secure and tell the shop at once if it changes hands.
A shop is responsible for who it adds to its team and for what they do. Roles exist for a reason: staff can work on jobs but cannot touch billing or settings, and a rider sees only the tasks assigned to them.
Plans and payment
- Free: up to 20 jobs a month, on a repairby.app address, with a small RepairBy credit on the shop’s site.
- PRO: ₹499 a month or ₹4999 a year. Unlimited jobs, the shop’s own domain, its own WhatsApp number, and no RepairBy credit.
Subscriptions are billed through Razorpay and renew until cancelled. Prices are in Indian rupees and exclude taxes where they apply.
If a payment fails, the shop keeps working for 7 days while it is sorted out. After that the account becomes read-only: no new bookings can be taken, but every repair already in progress can still be quoted, repaired, delivered and invoiced. We do not strand a customer’s phone on a bench over a card that expired.
Money the shop takes from its own customers never passes through us. It is paid to the shop directly, in cash or by UPI.
What a shop agrees to
- To show prices honestly, and to charge what was quoted and approved.
- To handle customers’ devices and data with care, and to answer their requests about that data. In law the shop is the one deciding what is collected; we hold it for them.
- To use its own real business details, and to keep its GST and invoicing obligations itself.
- Not to use the platform for anything unlawful, and not to send its customers messages they did not ask for.
- To publish only reviews and photographs it is entitled to publish.
Quotes, charges and warranty
A price shown before diagnosis is an estimate. The binding number is the quote sent after the shop has seen the device, and nothing is repaired until you approve it.
A shop may set a diagnosis charge that applies if you reject the quote. Where it does, the amount is shown on the booking screen before you agree and again on the quote itself. Pickup and delivery charges, and any threshold above which they are waived, are shown the same way.
Any warranty on a repair is the shop’s, on its terms. RepairBy gives no warranty on any repair.
Custom domains
A PRO shop can serve its site on a domain it owns. The shop must own that domain and keep it registered; we verify control before serving anything on it, and certificates are issued only for domains that pass that check.
Availability
We work to keep the service up and we do not promise it never goes down. Maintenance, a failure at a provider we depend on, or a bug can all interrupt it. Where we can give notice of planned work, we will.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, RepairBy is not liable for lost profits or for indirect losses, and our total liability to a shop is limited to what that shop paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited — and nothing here affects the rights a consumer has against the shop that repaired their device.
Ending it
A shop can leave whenever it likes. Settings has an export of every job, customer and invoice as a spreadsheet, and a way to close the account. Closing it takes the site offline and erases the shop’s customers’ personal details; the invoices and payment records stay for as long as tax law requires, and nothing else does.
We can suspend an account for non-payment after the grace period, or immediately where it is being used unlawfully or to harm its own customers. We will say why.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top is when they last did, and a change that materially affects a shop is notified before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute under them.
